Abbas Maroufi Abbas Maroufi is an Iranian novelist and journalist. His most famous novel is Symphony of the Dead. Raised and educated in Tehran , Abbas Maroufi studied dramatic arts at Tehran University while teaching at schools and writing for the newspapers, he served as the editor in chief of the literary Gardun magazine from to His first published work was a collection of short stories entitled Into the Sun , he wrote a few plays which were performed on stage.
Maroufi came to prominence with the publication of Symphony of the Dead, narrated in the form of a symphony. In this novel, Maroufi uses the stream of consciousness technique effectively; the Year of Turmoil and The Body of Farhad are among his other works. Maroufi is living in Germany with his family; some of his works have been translated into German.
Maroufi resides in Germany where he has opened a book-store, He holds writing classes and teaches students who show interest in writing and story-telling, his poetic weblog His political weblog on My. Khalid Abdel-Hadi founded My. Kali in when he was 17 or 18 years old, with the aim of providing LGBT-related content. On 30 October , a local Jordanian publication, Ammon News , reported on its launch, reprinting My. I was only 18 at the time. His family has Kurdish-Turkish roots. Abdul-Hati graduated from Petra University in Amman in with a degree in graphic design and visual arts, he makes media appearances outside his own publication and those of people who are close to him.
